The Osiris Spirit

          I have recently been working with a local bank to close on two pieces of real estate adjacent to our Church.  These properties will be used for office space, class rooms, and parking areas.  It was during these times that the  Holy Spirit called me aside to hear Him.  His call was in response to some questions I posed to Him concerning why there was strong unrest from principalities and powers in heavenly places warring against our ministry at this present time.  I believed maybe this was a counter attack from the enemy of YAHveh against us due to the continued success we are experiencing against the plague of drugs and prostitution in our neighborhood.  I needed insight because a lot of our people were feeling vexed, “icky,” at loose ends, and such.  This unrest grew to the point of some leaving V.L.C. saying things about the ministry that were not true.  I even received a phone called from someone who “prophesied” to me that I had taken my hand from the plow of the Kingdom of YAHveh and that “God.” was going to tear down all the work I had heretofore accomplished.  Note now that this unrest builds as I am pursuing the will of the Holy Spirit to secure LAND.  I pray this article will touch your need to understand how the devil uses different spirits to war against and wear down a righteous direction given to Believers.    

          I entered into that special place of communication with the Holy Spirit to praise and to listen - At times I mentioned the following to Him. 

                   -  I repented of all I could imagine being guilty of. 

                   -  I asked the Holy Spirit to refresh His anointing upon me and upon our entire ministry.

                   -  I lifted V.L.C. families, jobs, children, homes, ministries, and such to Him and spoke protection and anointing upon all.

                   -  I asked what was happening to the men and women of V.L.C. who are so openly vain and vile towards me.  I heard Him say, “strike the shepherd and the sheep will flee!”

                   -  I asked what is spoiling the commitment and vows of those who pledged such?

                   -  Where is the open door to be shut, and where is the closed door that needs be opened?

                   -  I asked the angels assigned to us to re-commission themselves to their assignments over the ministry of V.L.C.

                   -  Lord,  just what is going on and what do I do about it?

          Initially, I heard the following: 

                   -  There is an (onslaught) of the enemy against you (me.)

                   -  Peace is in the air.  I understood this to be more than a

                      statement but a direction.

                   -  He told me to bind the prayers and prophecy of the wicked.

                   -  Forgive and maintain your forgiveness.

                   -  He knows. The Holy Spirit simply said, “He knows.”  This implied He knows where I am/we are and suggests He is moving on our behalf.

          Somewhere during this time of listening He changed my understanding of  the word “onslaught” and replaced it with the word ‘FLOOD!”  FLOODS COVER THE LAND WHICH MEANS NOTHING CAN BE PLANTED OR HARVESTED.  I began to appreciate and understand the present unrest against us was about the real estate I was pursuing.  I began to see that the devil does not want us to be successful in this direction.  The devil does all he can to control land everywhere for whoever controls the land surely controls the religions of that land.  Sure we are only talking about two parcels of land right now.  But you see, these lands become available as the unholy spirits of drugs and prostitution have been driven from them.  These lands which were once in the hands of unbelievers are now identified as free and clear, fit for the Master’s use and the devil does not like this.   So, he begins to flood us with a rising tide of unrest.   Holy Spirit then led me to the following scriptures that give answer to the above questions and directions and confirm the present.

          READ:  Psalm 29.

                   -  Look at verse 3:  Upon reading this Psalm, I immediately understood what He meant when earlier  He said to me, “Peace is in the air!”  He truly is above any fracas on earth, yet the battle is His.  He is above the flood and I must hear His voice above the roar of personal weariness, disappointments, hurts, and such. 

                   -  Look at verse 7:  Note the contrast between water and fire.  As one goes through a refining fire there is always a flood that seeks to douse the effort.  Presently Victorious Living Chapel is going through a refining fire as our local neighborhood is purged and spirits expelled.  These building  projects we are addressing  are about building a strong body ministry, not about building individual responsibilities.  I understood this to mean we are being molded now into an ultimate direction and water is attempting to put out the fire.

                   -  Look at verse 9:  There can be no split glory in the Temple. If   everyone is not in the same Spirit then there are those who will depart local ministries to be a part of or establish another ministry with which they “feel more comfortable.”  I am not saying people should not establish ministry.  What I will say is that there is true way to leave a local Church.  This departure should be harmonious and never in division. The devil constantly fights unity and does all he can to drive wedges between the body and the pulpit.

                   -  Look at verse 10:  The flood washes away that which can be moved!  I am not looking to find fault.  This is just a fact of life - not all entered the ark. - which in no way means I am judging the salvation of another.  That confession will be reviewed by the Righteous Judge.  But being spirit filled is yet another thing because it is the Holy Spirit who convicts of righteousness and unity.  LISTEN:  IT IS EITHER THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO FLOWS OUT OF YOU LIKE A MIGHTY RUSHING RIVER, OR THERE IS YET ANOTHER RIVER AT WORK THROUGH YOUR LIFE! There is no unity if there are accusations in the camp.  There is no unity between the accuser and the one being accused.  Accusations are a tool of the devil to divide among the righteous.

As Father is enthroned at the flood, that is, as we lift Him up in out spirits and reach to Him, because we reached He knows where we are!  This means we must look beyond the flood to understand its usage. TO LOOK BEYOND THE FLOOD IS TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO ARE BEING USED IN THE ATTEMPT TO DRIVE A WEDGE with floods of accusations.

          READ Psalm 93:  The floods may be lifted up, but His testimonies, which are His Word and prophecies are very sure. 

          READ Je. 46: 7-8:  Remember my question to the Holy Spirit, “What’s going on?”  “What do I do?”  Where is the open door to be shut and where is the closed door to be opened?”  Here is that answer.

                   -  Egypt rises up like a flood.  Egypt is the location that originates this present unrest.  This is a spiritual insight and needs be understood as such.  Egypt speaks of the place from which we are supposed to be delivered.  This Egypt speaks of those who do not hear spiritually, thereby cannot see spiritually.  So everything has to be about them in the sense of position and direction.  Remember that Pharaoh as the head of Egypt had a difficult time bowing to the leading of the Lord to release the people of God.  A new direction or a shift was manifested for YAHveh’s people.  Pharaoh did not want to recognize the shift of the Holy Spirit that was occurring because it meant that he would have to give up something.  The releasing of the people of God was about that body of believers moving to a new LAND flowing with milk and honey.  The battle between Pharaoh and Moses was as much about land as anything else.  In Pharaoh’s failure to shift, he remained self-centered, he wanted to control the move of the Lord at hand. He openly defied the YAHveh of Israel by all he said.  Then, what he said became necessary for him to live out, otherwise, as he thought within himself, he would lose face with himself and those he was leading and trying to impress. He was not  afraid of YAHveh of Israel or Moses His appointed leader.  Why, even Pharaoh’s  magicians could turn a stick into a snake just like the leader appointed by YAHveh could do.  READ verses 7 and 8 again.

Now listen to this for this gives revelation and confirmation of spirits we need war against on behalf of our ministry and over those who are touched now by this spirit.  Hear the arrogance and carnal determination of this spirit from Egypt to maintain personal authority over ministry and over LAND.

Egypt rises up like a flood, AND ITS WATERS MOVE LIKE THE RIVERS.  Notice this now, this spirit from Egypt, represents yesterday. This  suggests sin and the lack of personal salvation or spiritual insight. This spirit can rise like a flood, so its waters can move like the rivers.  Look at a river and see how it winds through the land.  This spirit has the potential of winding through a congregation to fill the land or lives of people.  In the spiritual sense, this river or spirit winds itself through the lives of a congregation seeking where it may fill a void opened by spiritual mistrust and carnal disgust.  It fills those lives where the Holy Spirit is not flowing.  There is a present and ongoing battle against me, us - because of the movement of the Holy Spirit over the land we are gaining and over other aspects of our ministry.  Because these restoration projects are given by the Holy Spirit to thrust us into the direction and purpose of a strong Body, the enemy comes in like a flood.  People whose minds and spirits are being flooded either overcome this flood by bringing every thought into the obedience of the mind of Christ, or THEY ARE CARRIED AWAY BY THE RISING TIDE!  As they expose their displeasure, their displeasure is akin to the Pharaoh spirit, they express their disgust openly and without concern for others.  Their minds have become flooded by Egypt and its reprehensive spirit.  They are soon carried away because of the carnal notion they must “back up” or live out, as did Pharaoh, what their confession of disgust demands.  Vows are broken and oaths are set aside in the wake of their departure.

Because of this present movement by the Holy Spirit directing V.L.C. to purge a neighborhood of unholy spirits and take land for the Lord, the enemy counter attacks with a flood to reclaim, discredit, and to fight this direction. This spirit from Egypt does not move like a snake.  It moves like a river.  Notice that both a snake and a river move from side to side when they are motivated in a direction.  There is that python spirit which seeks to squeeze the life from a believer and or their ministry. The spirit using the flood moves like a river flooding lives.  It has been said of rivers that the “snake” through the countryside or through a canyon.  Human life speaks of land for aren’t we made from the dust of the earth?  By the very act of creation humans are a part of the land. The unholy flood moves ultimately like a river wherever there is a human citrine void of spiritual power and insights.  This river, this flood has the intention of spiritually dividing land against land to make Believers an island because the enemy knows that no one who stands alone spiritually can do so for long.  They are soon sifted and carried as silt to the delta of idleness,  there to remain forever in a flooded condition.

Egypt says (this spirit from Egypt says), “I will go up and cover the earth” (land.) “I will destroy the city and its inhabitants” (land and its occupants.)  Notice here in these statements the arrogance of Satan as seen in his boasting in Isaiah 14. This is a direct movement against spiritual knowledge YAHveh releases in these times to flood the earth with His direction.  The python spirit seeks to choke spiritual life from Believers.  The unholy spirit used to flood ministries with unrest and other such things does not seek to choke people‘s spiritual life.  This spirit seeks to carry them away so they will spread their disgust and leave a local ministry void of strength and power to complete its assigned mission.  Then perhaps, when the flood is at it highest stage, the python rises from the flood water to choke life from Church leadership thus then presenting the empty church building before the carnal public as closed, gone out of business. For Sale!  This is the nature of the spirit which brings this flood of unrest.  We will come back to the spirit of Egypt in just a moment and see the specific name of the spirit of the flood from Egypt

          READ  Is. 59:19:  Here is the promise of the Father.  Regardless of how high the flood may seem, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.  I say to you that those of the local Church ministry who are not carried away by the flood become the standard that is lifted in the purposes of the Father.  When your righteous obedience is fulfilled, then disobedience is exposed.  Very often those who survive the flood of unrest subsequently find themselves standing in neck deep water working on projects others fail to involve themselves with. This serves to show how quickly some just float away clinging to the shards of broken vows directed by uncovered decisions.  Even when there is no money to purchase land, faith calls that land from the future into the now.  Even when the work force shrinks because of broken vows, true commitment is known by the Father who is above the flood.  He does not call you to tread water without reason.  He knows where we are and what we need.  Those who stand, having done all to stand, become the standard against the flood of the enemy and all his rivers of unrest.  As Noah’s obedience raised him above the flood of unrest upon the earth during his generation, so also are today’s Believers raised in this hour as a standard against unbelief.  The righteous shall stand, having done all to stand.  We’re not gaining lands and restoring properties to then leave it.  No, we are restoring so we can in time reach others.

          READ Re. 12: 13-17:  This battle is not down the street or around the corner.  This battle is right here, right now, but the righteous shall prevail. 

NOTICE SOME THINGS HERE:

                    There is a battle against the righteous.

                   -  Father is aware of this battle because He cast the devil to the earth and Father knew what the results would be.  The results are war against the righteous seed in Christ.  The serpent, the servant of Satan, spews things from his mouth LIKE A FLOOD!   This flood is directed against the righteous cause of the Messiah.

                   -  In His knowing, He is monitoring those who will not be carried away by the false teachings of others.

                   -  In this battle, the devil always exposes himself through the release of his accusations.

                   -  The flood of the enemy is spewed from his mouth, which are accusations against leadership and its purpose, that you and others might be carried away. 

                   -  Look at verse 16 - how does the land, the earth open its mouth and swallow up the flood?  LISTEN - the earth opens its mouth when we purge the neighborhood and buy the properties thus proving the accusations of the enemy are just that. 

                   -  Look at verse 17 - this does enrage the devil and his spirits assigned to flood against the righteous because authority is the issue and it is authority of the apostle that is always challenged.  Egypt, which speaks of yesterday and all from which  you should be free, cannot win against those who keep the testimony of Jesus Christ.  Egypt, which represents Satan and all his unholy spirits cannot win against those who keep their personal commitment, provide for their oath, and who perform their spiritual vows. 

NOW, LET ME EXPOSE THE NAME OF THIS SPIRIT OF THIS FLOOD.  Knowing his name gives identity in prayer against him.

          My search for the definition of Egypt led me to the Prophet’s Dictionary.  I was not satisfied with the initial definition I found which means “black.”  This means darkness and all it represents but it did not give me the name of the spirit I was searching for.

                    The Prophet’s Dictionary reveals that Egypt is named for its black LAND situated on the Nile River.  Notice Egypt means black LAND!  Egypt was/is a great center of polytheistic worship which is the belief in many gods. Its principle deity was the sun god Horus, in the Greek, or Ra in Egyptian.  It is so important you see in this the nature of all spiritual battle on earth is over the land.  THE BATTLE IS OVER THE CONTROL OF LAND!  For whoever controls any measure of land becomes the spokesman concerning the religion to be celebrated on that land.   I saw in this that because there were many gods or spirits worshipped in Egypt there had to be a name of the spirit who uses the flood.  A foot note at the end of above insight says, “SEE OSIRIS.”

The definition of OSIRIS is: This is the name of a spirit who abides in and for Egypt and has the following responsibility:

This is the Egyptian god of the Nile and the underworld, believed to be responsible for agriculture.  His name speaks of LAND WHERE THINGS ARE GROWN.  He symbolized reincarnation.  This means he spiritually visits though out generations with his flooding tactics to war against the move of the righteous God.  He was or is worshipped as the judge of the dead, Osiris is well served.  Since death was an important celebration for the Egyptians, as they felt their Pharaohs were elevated through it, much attention was given to training them to serve and please Osiris in the afterlife.  Part of this training included their obligation to attend his institution of the prophets to be able to bring word back to the land of the living from the god as his posthumous messenger through death.  Osiris was venerated as husband of Isis.  Isis is the goddess of fertility.

NOW WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

          1.  Osiris is the name of the spirit of the underworld who is used thereby to “come in like a flood!”

          2.  We do not war against flesh and blood. In this case we war against the spirit of Osiris which is herewith identified.  He is that spirit which presently seeks to flood lives with discomfort of all sorts so as to wash people.  He uses whatever comes from his mouth against the under committed.

          3.  We prayerfully close those portals over the ones he is presently using against the life and growth of V.LC., or any ministry, and any he seeks to use in the future.  The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.   We pray for the immediate deliverance of those influenced by the Osiris spirit and plead for their spiritual refreshing.

          4.  We lift praise and glory to the throne room cleansing ourselves of any and all arrogance.  We  plead for forgiveness in all areas of our life.

          4.  We ask for strength to tread water until projects completion.  This simply means - having done all to stand, stand!

          5.  We give thanks for another.

          6.  We love not our life to its own death. Stay focused like a flint.

          7.  Recognize the battle is the Lord’s and He knows where you are.  Peace is in the air, because peace is in knowing the truth.
